Master Todd Harris
Master Todd Harris began his training in the martial arts 30 years ago. Inspired by a movie that he had seen, he soon began his journey in American Karate. After several years he moved and had to find a new school. That is where his journey into the Korean Arts began. He met Master Byung Seok Lee in 1988 and fell in love with Tae Kwon Do & Hapkido. He knew right away he wanted to help his instructor teach after seeing student after students life being empowered.
Master Harris graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in exercise & sport science. From 1992-1995 he was the senior instructor for his master and coached the ECU Tae Kwon Do team. In those 3 years he produced 15 state champions and 4 national champions. In June of 1995 his master helped him open his own school in Charlotte, NC. Master Harris’ love for the sport continued as he coached his 25 member Jr & Sr team from 1995-2002.
In 2002 he retired from full time coaching to focus on empowering his students, their families and the community. Master Harris has been featured on the cover of Martial Arts World magazine, voted #1 instructor in NC by the United States Tae Kwon Do Union, has been awarded top ten school in the US & Canada for multiple years and currently has a weekly interview on iHeartRadio.
His dedication to his students and passion to truly help others be their best is matched by none. Master Harris is married to his incredible wife Pamela Harris and they have 4 children: Danielle, Jon-Paul, Keyle and Maggie and they all help run MAU.
